One: the voltage of the solar panel
The voltage of the MPPT solar controller is generally 0-155V, and the voltage of the PWM solar controller is generally 0-55V. Solar panels we should pay attention to the working voltage and short circuit voltage, working voltage such as 18V, 36V and so on. There is also a short-circuit voltage. If it is 18V, the short-circuit voltage of the solar panel should be 22V, and the 36V should be 42. We choose the corresponding controller based on the working voltage of the solar energy, there is no mistake.
Two: solar panel current
The size of the solar controller we often say is actually the maximum charging current of this solar controller. The general controller will have 10A, 20A, 30A, and some high power will have 50A, 60A or even more. When selected, the solar panel charging current cannot exceed the maximum charging current of the optional solar charging controller, otherwise the controller will be damaged. So, when choosing a controller, I suggest that if the solar panel current is 6A, we should choose a 10A controller.
